Trent Country Park
Trent Country Park is a picturesque and expansive green space located in the London Borough of Enfield, North London. Covering approximately 413 acres, it offers visitors a diverse range of activities and attractions amidst beautiful natural surroundings.
There are lots of things one can do at Trent Country Park -
Walking and Cycling: Trent Country Park features numerous walking and cycling trails winding through woodlands, meadows, and along the banks of lakes. These trails provide opportunities for leisurely strolls, brisk walks, or bike rides amid nature.
The London Outer Orbital Path (London LOOP) is a 150-mile, circular, London walking route made up of 24 sections. The walk is takes you through green spaces, woods and fields around the edge of Outer London. Section 17 of the London LOOP takes you from Trent Park through the farmland of Enfield Chase, Hilly Fields Park and the Forty Hall Estate. Section 17 ends at the footbridge over the Brook (near Enfield Lock Station) which is where Section 18 of the London LOOP begins. If you enjoy walking, give this trail a go. We loved it.

The gardens celebrate the life and work of Edward Augustus Bowles, a horticulturalist, plantsman, garden writer and also the person who developed the gardens at Myddelton House.

King George's Reservoir

King George's Reservoir serves primarily as a water supply reservoir, helping to meet the water needs of London and the surrounding areas. It is managed by Thames Water, the utility company responsible for providing water and wastewater services to millions of people in the region.
While the reservoir and pumping station is not open daily to the public, it is open on select 'Open House Festival' days. We lived in close vicinity of the reservoir and made good use of these 'Open Days' to explore the reservoir.

The reservoir supports diverse aquatic life, including fish and waterfowl, while the surrounding woodlands, grasslands, and wetlands are home to a range of terrestrial wildlife.
The Lee Valley Reservoir Chain, including King George's Reservoir, is managed with a focus on environmental conservation and habitat preservation. Efforts are made to balance the needs of water supply with the protection of natural ecosystems and wildlife habitats.
Lee Valley

The Tree Top Adventure course at Go Ape Cockfosters is the main attraction at the site. This course features a series of high ropes, zip lines, obstacles, and crossings set amidst the canopy of trees in Trent Country Park. Participants navigate their way through the course while attached to safety harnesses, experiencing a thrilling and challenging outdoor adventure.
or younger adventurers, Go Ape Cockfosters offers a Junior Adventure course designed specifically for children. This course features scaled-down obstacles and challenges suitable for younger participants, providing a fun and safe outdoor experience.
Advance booking is recommended for Go Ape Cockfosters, especially during peak seasons and weekends when demand is high.
Parkside Farm
Parkside Farm is a popular pick-your-own (PYO) farm located in Enfield. It is renowned for its wide variety of fruits and vegetables available for picking throughout the growing season.
The farm offers a diverse range of fruits and vegetables available for picking, depending on the season. This includes strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, pumpkins, sweetcorn, peas, beans, and more.
If you have been to a PYO experience, you will know that it is a unique experience allowing you to wander through the fields and pick the produce directly from the plants. It's a fun and interactive way for individuals, families, and groups to enjoy the outdoors while harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables.
Different crops have varying seasons, so the availability of produce at Parkside Farm changes throughout the year. It's a good idea to check the farm's website or contact them directly to find out what's in season and when the best times are for picking specific fruits and vegetables and also their opening times.

Pymmes Park

Although the mansion is not open to the public, its picturesque grounds and architecture add to the park's charm.
