Brunch with Bottomless Prosecco at Mrs Fogg's Dockside Drinkery and Distillery

On Saturday, we were in London and went down to experience Mrs Fogg's Brunch (pre-booking advised) at their Liverpool Street venue.

In 2013, entrepreneurs Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling opened Mr Fogg’s Residence, an eccentric bar, in Mayfair. Based around the ficitonal character of Phileas Fogg, a Victorian traveller, the bar became popular as much for quirky & fun decor as it did for its innovative drinks & food. This was followed by other openings - Mr Fogg’s Tavern, Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour, Mr Fogg’s House of Botanicals, Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration and finally in 2018, Mrs Fogg’s, which is inspired from Mr Fogg’s better half – his Indian wife, Aouda.

Mrs Fogg's Dockside Drinkery & Distillery is a nautical-themed cocktail bar featuring a large outdoor seating area, and offering experiences like - the Gin Adventure, Mrs Fogg’s Brunch and more.

Mrs Fogg’s Brunch is available every Saturday from 12 noon and offers two options - a 2-course brunch (meal only) for £25pp and the hugely popular 2-course brunch meal + welcome drink + ninety minutes of free-flowing pink bubbles for £45pp. We opted for the latter.

The experience included a welcome cocktail (Bombay Bramble gin & Franklin & Sons tonic water), 2 courses - including a selection of mini pastries, cardamom yoghurt and fruit salad; followed by a choice of cooked breakfast and bottomless pink prosecco!

For the cooked breakfast we both opted for 'The Full Fix' which included meat-free sausage, egg, truffled portobello mushroom, roasted vine tomatoes, spinach, beans and a homeamde potato has brown.

All of the food was delicious and the prosecco top-ups were in abundance. Our glasses were never empty!

The service by the staff members was excellent. They were attentive but unobtrusive and were constantly topping up our glasses. We were very well taken care of throughout and had a fantastic time.

There was a live band too - The Stowaways - and they were great. They took requests from the guests and kept the guests entertained.

Overall, we had an amazing time.
