The Kibo RFiD Travel Backpack from Lifeventure | Competition
Lifeventure is a travel luggage and accessories brand who supply travel gear to specialist retailers in more than 40 countries across the world. Functional and durable, all their products are British-designed and have been developed using cutting-edge materials and techniques. On Lifeventure's website, you will find travel bags, compression sacks, sleep gear, power adaptors, camping tableware, travel wash gear and so many other things. Recently they launched a new range - Kibo - that includes wallets, backpacks, packable daysacks and other travel accessories with many of them making use of a RFiD blocking material. The material acts as a barrier against RFiD signals, dramatically reducing the risk of electronic identity theft.
Kibo 22 RFiD Travel Backpack
The Kibo 22 backpack, which is one from the newly released range, has all the technical features one would expect in a modern travel backpack. It is made with a durable, waterproof canvas fabric and offers 22 litres of storage. A number of pockets mean that you can easily organise the things you need to carry while travelling. There is a padded 13" laptop pocket, 2 bottle pockets, internal slip pockets and a RFiD blocking pocket. This is a key feature of the backpack and the RFID pocket is perfect to keep your passport, credit cards or any other card that stores/carries information electronically. The RFiD blocking technology will ensure that the digital data is kept safe.
Key features of the Kibo backpack
- Makes use of a water-resistant waxed canvas fabric
- Ruco-Dry Eco Plus hydrophobic fabric treatment
- Padded 13" laptop pocket with integral stash pocket
- Two-way YKK zips
- Airmesh back panel and padded shoulder straps
- Tough nylon grab handle with leather trim
The Kibo 22 is a lightweight backpack measuring 450 x 280 x 140mm (when packed) and is able to hold 22L, like I mentioned earlier on. For those who prefer to travel light or need a small backpack, this one is a good pick. If you want more capacity, the Kibo also comes in two other sizes - 25L and 42L. The 22L backpack is a good size for me and I like its clean and minimalist look and design. In addition to the 'Navy' backpack featured in this post, the Kibo 22 also is available in 'Olive' and 'Aubergine'. The Kibo backpack scores well on all aspects - organisation features, usability, design/construction as well as comfort. And the best bit is the price (£69.99, currently on offer for £58.99) making it an excellent and inexpensive backpack for daily use and for travelling.
Update: Price on website is £39.99 as of 07/03/2020
