Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland has returned to Hyde Park. The free-to-enter annual event includes a number of activities including ice skating, big top shows, a giant observation wheel and a huge Christmas market. Each year it gets bigger and better and this year there were a lot of choices when it came to food/drinks, rides and shopping. However, the crowd turnout was insane and as a result, there were very long queues to get in. But once you are done with the security check and are inside, it is a lovely event - a very happy and festive feel to it.

It looks amazing - I've never been to this and I would love to go, but the thought of the crowds really puts me off.
ReplyDeleteThis year the crowd turnout was huge compared to last year, I felt. But once you are in, you forget the wait/queuing and get into the festive spirit.
DeleteWow it looks so amazing. I would love to go here
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot about this place, must plan to go there soon.
ReplyDeleteWe love this place we are going back in September
ReplyDeleteThis looks magical! Can't wait to visit soon with my family.
ReplyDeleteI've been dreaming of taking my little ones here for the past two Christmases. This year we decided it would be too dangerous to get on a long journey (4 hours on traffic/show/ice free day) to visit it. Maybe next year...
ReplyDeleteIt was very crowded this year. Long queues to get in. If you do decide to visit, it would be good to have pre-booked tickets (for any of the rides/shows) as this ensures quick and easy entry.
DeleteIt looks like a fun place to take the children
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing, my wife would love it.

ReplyDeleteI went here with my mum for the first time and had such a magical time. I ended up winning a giant doughnut cushion on one of the stalls and having to go to a really posh cocktail bar (Harvey Nics 5th Floor Bar) with it turned out to be a great talking point we were bought a bottle of wine by a very prestigious person who has become our new friend! (No name dropping - sorry) - definitely going to Winter Wonderland next year to see what else I can win! :D
ReplyDeleteThose doughnut cushions look so delicious, don't they? :)

ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful event to visit, although the crowds & queues would put me off bit,the Hubby would hate it. We do live in the Midlands & I can't even get him to go to the German market in Birmingham. I love this type of thing though.
