      I would myself pick the countryside over London any day :) But I also love travelling and exploring all kinds of places.

    Although I agree that many of the lights are pretty, especially the Christmas ones, I can't help thinking that leaving office lights on all night when everyone has gone home is rather wasteful.

      I agree with you on this one but I think there could be several reasons for this - cleaning staff working at night, security issues or simply the appearance. Some of London's buildings are landmarks in themselves and are left lit up for the benefit of visitors and tourists.

    Only visited London once when I was a teenager , didn't really get to see it at night as I went with the Young Firefighters Association to mainly see how the Fire Brigade work there. Would love to visit London soon .
