Christmas Fun at London’s Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. Like every year, Winter Wonderland made for a very festive and fun day out. With numerous fairground rides, circus acts, roller-coaster thrills, the largest outdoor ice rink in the UK and around 200 beautiful Bavarian-style wooden chalets (selling gifts and souvenirs, food and drinks) it is no wonder that Winter Wonderland is one of the highlights of Christmas fun in London.
This year the main attractions at Winter Wonderland included the Ice Rink (very popular every year) The Magical Ice Kingdom, The Nutcracker on Ice, Zippo's Christmas Circus, The Sooty Christmas Show, The Hangover (the tallest transportable drop tower in the world) and The Munich Looping (the world’s largest transportable roller coaster). There were plenty of rides and thrills for kids of all ages.
We visited yesterday and as expected it was very busy. But we had a wonderful time. The lighting was fantastic and the whole atmosphere was very Christmassy. Music, shopping, yum food and drinks made it worth a visit. If you are visiting London and are looking for a fun day out, try Winter Wonderland. It is open until January 2nd. I will now leave you with some photographs from yesterday. Enjoy!
