The New River Local Heritage Trail in Enfield
North London has a number of beautiful countryside walks. We did a part of the London Outer Orbital Path (London LOOP) yesterday. The London LOOP is a 150 mile (240 km) signed walk through country parks, woods and fields around the edge of Outer London.
The route is broken down into 24 sections and is denoted by signposts or waymarks and in some countryside areas by simple discs with a directional arrow and the flying kestrel logo.

The path also took us round the Woodlands lake in Forty Hall (the pics above).
We did a part of the route from Forty Hall to Hilly Fields Park to Whitwebbs Park back to Forty Hall. It was around 2 hours to complete this stretch leisurely - taking in the beautiful surroundings.
