Firework Show during New Year's Eve in London
The Mayor's Midnight Fireworks Show in London
As mentioned in the previous post, we had been to the open air new years eve party in London. A crowd of around 2,50,000 people had gathered on the banks of the Thames to watch the 8 minute spectacular firework display. The London Eye was lit up and formed a part of the fireworks display.
The crowd spilled onto Trafalgar Square, where huge screens were put up to display the fireworks show. We managed to get into the viewing area near Thames. It was jam-packed with people dancing and enjoying the music that was being played.
