The Camden Market in London
The Camden Lock Market was established way back in 1975 and had been going strong since then. It now draws more than 1.5 lakh visitors each week.
To reach the market - from the Camden Town underground station walk up the High Street until you see the Camden Lock building. The market is on the left side.
You will find a all sorts of stalls and shops that will cater to the entire family. you will find stalls selling an assortment of music and films, board games, books, hand-crafted gifts, jewellery, home furnishings and more.
There are 3 floors in the Market hall and over a 100 traders sell products that are created by local artists or that are imported from other countries.
While at the market you can also enjoy a wide range of food from various nations. You will find Thai, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Mesopotamian and many other cuisines. There are lots of stalls for those with a sweet tooth. And if you are visiting on a wintry evening like us you can try the mulled wine - a lovely winter warmer.
Most of the shops are in the main market street open 7 days - from 10 am to 6 pm. A must visit.
