The Clock Mill at Bromley on Bow, East London

Had been to Bromley on Bow last day before yesterday. It is known for its three water mills called the Three Mills.

One of these former working mills on the River Lee (in one of London’s oldest extant industrial centres) is possibly the largest tidal mill in the world.
One of these mills is the - 'Clock Mill' which was rebuilt by Philip Metcalfe between 1815 and 1817 incorporating the old clock, and an older bell.

Back in 1878 there were three waterwheels in the Clock Mill each measuring around 20 feet in diameter and 3 feet in width.

Now they are no longer used as water mills with most of the surrounding areas being used as studios (The Three Mill Studio) for television and movies.
